Carrie & Stuart | Albert Square Chop House Manchester Wedding
I love a Manchester city centre wedding, and seeing how much Carrie and Stu loved Manchester, with it's mixture of stunning architecture, beauty and grit made their Albert Square Chop House wedding all the more special. Held in Manchester Town Hall and then later at the fabulous Chop House, the inspiration for their day started with Lego, love and laughter..
The Lego details were inspired by their engagement, as Stu had popped the question at the top of a mountain using a tiny Stu-Lego-Lookalike holding a tiny gold ring (check out their wedding cake topper doppelgängers too!) I love that as part of their table decor they had Lego figures for all guests plus bowls full of bricks - there were some pretty impressive creations by the end of the meal..!
Wearing an understated, yet beautifully detailed gown by Amanda Wyatt, Carrie wed Stu in his suit and Cons back in September in front of their nearest and dearest.
When quizzed about what their favourite part of the day was, Carrie says that the moment she’ll most cherish was "singing with Manchester Glee at our evening reception [it was a-maz-ing] and later looking around at everyone dancing and having fun".
Wandering around for a few couple shots in city centres is always exciting - there is something different around every corner, the streets are always busy, the buildings are so mixed.. I love it. These two totally 'got it' when I said I wanted to get some to reflect the grit of the city as well as some beautiful backdrops..
"I am absolutely thrilled with the photos. My favourite has to be me and Stu under the arches being silly - it's just us. We didn't want a formal wedding, we just wanted it to be relaxed and fun. It was the happiest day of my life."
I was so excited to be back shooting their Albert Square Chop House wedding and it was just perfect. Thanks for having me Carrie and Stu!
