Cala D'Or, Mallorca | Personal Creative Travel Photography
As promised, I'm keeping up with sharing more personal photography on the blog this year - just little snippets and highlights here and there. Over on my Instagram @sallytphotography - followers said overwhelmingly that they'd like to keep up with travel and personal creative projects, so here we are!
I was booked to shoot Carina and Kris' beautiful Yacht Club at Cala D'Or wedding in Mallorca back in April last year, and decided to turn it into a little family trip. We packed cases (far too many - Sylvie was less than four months old) and had a wonderful little Easter break in sunny Cala D'Or. I hadn't been to Mallorca since I was a child and it was gorgeous to be back - this little corner of the island is so beautiful and so peaceful - there are little cove beaches and the towns aren't particularly busy. It was bliss.
Yes, the sea really *was* that colour. I spent a lot of time when we were out wandering capturing sequences that would end up on Carina and Kris' stop motion wedding video too. It was such a photogenic place to shoot.
These are just a handful of highlights from our trip out there - a real week of mixing work with pleasure. And, while we're here, if anyone else fancies taking me abroad to shoot their wedding, well, that's fine by me!
