Elora & Bobby - Thornton Manor Cheshire Hindu Wedding | THE MAGIC SEVEN

Today, I have Elora and Bobby's wedding for you for The Magic Seven!

When Elora and Bobby got in touch they told me they were planning a day that was sure to be full of colour, celebration and chaos.. everything a wedding should be. It was everything they'd promised and more - it was amazing. Elora and Bobby had a Hindu wedding ceremony together with Elora’s brother Neil and his wife Vic. There was music, dancing, colour, hundreds of celebrating guests, belly dancing, Bobby playing the drums in his band and some pretty wild dancing to finish the night.

Elora and Bobby got married in May at the spectacular Thornton Manor, a stunning venue in Cheshire, and had their ceremony at the same venue. Theirs was an Indian Hindu ceremony; it was fascinating to be witness to traditions I wasn't as familiar with and it made for some amazing moments to photograph!

They chose Thornton Manor because it's such a beautiful venue and it was big enough to accommodate all their guests - theirs was the biggest wedding I've ever shot! I loved shooting at Thornton Manor because the building is completely stunning and the grounds are perfect for lots of different and varied photo opportunities.

I picked the images I did for The Magic Seven because I wanted to really show the colour, love and fun of their Indian/Hindu wedding day in Cheshire - these two really adored each other. In terms of guests it was the biggest wedding I've ever shot, but it meant there was always something going on and always something wonderful to capture..

The reception was in a marquee and they Bollywood dancing from guests in the afternoon, and a live band in with Bobby playing the drums in the evening. The reception room was decorated with things to reflect their love of music and so much colour, because they’re the couple’s favourite things. For dinner they had tables full of curries, breads and accompaniments, which was absolutely delicious (I may have had seconds.. and thirds..)

We ended the day with a few last photographs after the sun had set before I left to head home - I loved these shots and they ended up being some of my favourites from the day.. I love how the light catches Elora's outfit and that rim-light..
