Zeds, India | Commercial Work
I still can't really believe I had the opportunity to make a flying visit to India for a commercial job.. India has been on my 'list' for so long and I didn't let myself believe it was happening until I had to pack my case...!
Rosie and Bing are two lovely ladies launching a new childrens' clothing brand called Zeds, and they asked me to go over to Tiruppur, South India, with Bing to visit the factories and meet who would be manufacturing their pieces. Zeds is an organic, sustainable and responsible brand, so we travelled around the area making sure everything from the fabric knitting factories to where the garments are sewn were fair and responsible themselves. There were also decisions to be made about Zeds' garments for their first collection so time was spent with screen printing factories and in the main office going over the finer details. It was also just so fascinating to see what goes into producing the items we take for granted and buy on a whim during periods of procrastination!
Here are a collection of the images taken during the trip, and a few personal images thrown in. Really hoping I can head back out with Rosie and Bing in the future as their brand grows.
