About Me

I bought my first DSLR when I found out I was expecting my eldest child, months before I went hunting for baby equipment or clothes or anything for a nursery. I took thousands of photographs of every little thing - I was hooked. I learnt quickly that it's about the in-between moments just as much as portraits of her looking at the camera. I'm close to obsessed with recording family memories and making albums - everything I take and print becomes part of our family story. I'm hugely sentimental and preserving memories is hugely important to me.

Style + Approach

For me, it's all about capturing children being children - whether it's muddy knees, ice cream spills, cuddles, a favourite toy or a trick they've learnt in the playground. All moments, big and small, become magical and precious memories with time. I love being able to record my own and others' family stories. My style is very relaxed and I don't use a studio - I shoot at home or on location; somewhere your little ones are comfortable and have plenty to be excited about. My family photography is informal, creative and real.

WHERE SHALL WE GO TO SHOOT?
I usually suggest somewhere little ones are comfortable and familiar with. For very little ones, babies and young toddlers, I would usually suggest staying home, and for older children maybe a play area, park, beach, the woods.. wherever they can have a little adventure on the day.

WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL?
I include travel within 30 miles of Yarm (Teesside). Additional travel is subject to a 45p per mile travel fee, and for some locations it may be easier to take the train and we can work out those costs separately. If accommodation is required then these costs may need to be covered too.

WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
If the weather is looking like it would make it too difficult to shoot we can have a back up location in mind and we can move to shoot there. It is also possible to reschedule to another day due to any difficult or personal circumstances. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET OUR PICTURES?
I aim to get your edited pictures online ready for you to browse and download within 4-6 weeks.

HOW BIG ARE THE DIGITAL FILES AND WHAT CAN WE DO WITH THEM?
You can print away as much as you'd like! I retain copyright for all my work but you have full personal printing rights, which means you can use the high resolution digital files to print your images for yourselves, family and friends. The only thing you can't do is sell or edit them in any way yourself - you also need to ask permission to publish them to third-party sites or publications.

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
Drop me an email and we can get your shoot booked in! I'll email over an online family shoot booking pack which contains all the information about the next steps to secure your date in the diary.

CAN I BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY?
I limit shoots to 8 people, after that there will be a supplementary charge for additional people and there is a chance I may need to allow extra time for your shoot.

HOW CAN WE PAY?
I accept payment through bank transfer. All products must be paid for before they go into production.
