Louise + Steven - Arpino, Italy Destination Wedding | THE MAGIC SEVEN

One very close to my heart from today’s ‘Magic Seven’ post... From a wonderful few days I spent in Italy for one of my closest friends’ weddings and I was both bridesmaid and photographer all in one (can you spot me in one of these photos?) It’s Louise and Steven’s Arpino wedding in Italy!

“Steven’s family are Italian and both of his grandparents live in the picturesque farming village of Arpino. There are lots of members of the extended family that live there so we wanted them all to be there on our wedding day. We chose Santa Maria Church because not only is it absolutely beautiful, Steven’s 92-year-old Granddad made his First Holy Communion there when he was a little boy. We are both Catholic so chose a Catholic church and ceremony.

We wanted to celebrate our marriage with the people who mean the most to us in one of the most romantic settings in the world. As we are both major foodies, good food and drink were at the top of our list of priorities for our wedding. In Italy we knew we wouldn’t be disappointed!”

“We look back on our wedding day with the happiest memories. We are blessed to have the best family and friends who travelled so far to celebrate with us. It really was the best day of our lives.”

“I thought I was going to be really nervous having my photograph taken all day but Sally was so unobtrusive. Most of the time I didn’t even know she was taking the photos! Her photographs tell the story of the day and even those who were unable to come to our wedding have said they feel like they were there having looked at the photographs. Sally was out-of-this-world amazing!”
