Zermatt, Switzerland | Personal Project + Creative Travel Photography
This is the latest in a series of personal travel posts following a trip I made with my daughter last month! Previous destinations are linked at the bottom of this blog post. and you can click through to see more about our travels on my family blog here.
Zermatt is the most perfect little ski town. It's isolated (no cars allowed, there are only electric buggies and horses on the streets), picturesque and small enough that you can wander around the entire place easily on foot. I'm so glad we went for two nights, we had a day skiing and visiting the glacier experience, and we explored and ate galette, raclette and crepes.
I took a variety of films to play with while we were away and I did a happy dance when I saw how the colours of the film above came out! I love the mix of a largely black and white town, with the dark wood and the snow, clashing with this film.
I also took a few packs of Polaroid film, as well as their new OneStep2 Polaroid camera. Below is possibly my favourite from the entire trip - my daughter writing in her travel diary on our balcony overlooking the main street in Zermatt.
Zermatt is so peaceful, so perfect.. if it wasn't so crazily-priced I would have loved to stay for longer, but I definitely love being in the mountains and it gave me a real urge to ski properly this coming Winter. Here are a few favourites from this beautiful little town..
