Laura + Paul | Ingleby Greenhow Village Hall Wedding, North Yorkshire

Teesside is a small place.. it’s more like two degrees of separation - everyone knows someone who knows someone. My grandparents are friends with Laura’s grandparents, and she and I actually played together as very young children over in the Lake District. There are photos of us eating Tomato Soup at a picnic bench together! Paul and I were on the same Journalism course at uni.. and he knew my husband through different circles of friends. At their wedding were two couples whose weddings I’d shot, and one whose wedding I’m shooting next year.. our own Best Man from our wedding was there with his amazing girlfriend (hi Jack and Rosie!), and there were dozens of other family friends/friends of friends/overlapping circles going on that day.. it was amazing to be part of a day knowing the story and history of the couple so well!

Laura and Paul planned a really relaxed and personal DIY wedding at Ingleby Greenhow Village Hall in North Yorkshire. The attention to detail and their wedding styling was just fab - loads of touches to reflect them and the things they loved.. and the whole day was about friends and family, hanging out in the sunshine and celebrating once the sun had gone down.. A perfect village hall Summer wedding.
