I never expected to shoot a first dance in a church car park with a travelling brass band but I guess 2020 is throwing all sort of weird stuff at us and nothing surprises me much these days.. Sophie and Matt married in Nunthorpe with probably the most beautiful views in Teesside. Their Blackthorn Gate wedding is postponed until next year but it didn’t stop them having a perfectly small wedding with their nearest and dearest followed by a distanced dance-off.
Read MoreOh my goodness.. actually coming out of what felt like hibernation and shooting an actual wedding felt like such a dream. Jennifer and Paul married in Yarm with only immediate family before heading down the beautiful cobbled streets to nearby Italian deli Borellis for a toast outside in the sunshine. It was intimate, relaxed, full of love and laughter, and just the most special small wedding day.

Read MoreWhat a couple, what a setting and what a wedding! It was my first time shooting at Wylam Brewery for Ellie and James’ wedding, and it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more. I love how they mixed the industrial setting with incredible wildflowers and other details to reflect their personalities (Ellie’s Mum did the flowers and James’ Mum made the cake!) and the whole thing was a beautiful, chilled out celebration in the August sunshine.

Read Moret was so lovely to see Gemma again and be part of hers and Michael’s beautiful wedding day at Hardwick Hall. The sun really shone and it was such a fabulous relaxed Summer wedding.. These two were so much fun together and it was a pleasure to be there to capture everything from Gemma laughing with her bridesmaids on the morning, the flower girls dancing in the sunshine, guests relaxing in the evening sunshine and killer dance moves when the sun went down..
Read MoreJust look at these two! I absolutely adored Mark and Lucy’s wedding style.. they had a tipi wedding in the grounds of the Hammer and Pincers pub in County Durham with gin bottles, mix tapes, custom wedding art and illustrations.. it was so personal and so perfect.
Also Lucy’s wedding outfit - I’ve never seen anything like it (amazing work from BexBrides)! A custom made, feather embellished kimono style dress with tassels and sewn in touches from her Mum’s own wedding veil.. I could have photographed her in it all day.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend such a relaxed day with these two and their full-of-fun wedding guests - thanks again for having me as part of your celebrations! Here are a few previews for now… Congratulations again you two!

Read MoreI really loved being part of Amy and Steven’s intimate wedding at Preston Park Museum and Grounds - they had only immediate family there to celebrate with them and they later announced to the rest of the world that they’d married on the way to their honeymoon that evening! I really love being part of days where couples have done everything completely their own way and created a day that’s perfect for them, and that’s exactly what Amy and Steven’s day was.
Read MoreWell, this wedding was a day to remember.. Caitlin and Josh have booked me for their Yorkshire Wedding Barn wedding next May, but due to family circumstances they decided to do the legal bit and have an intimate celebration this year too. Their wedding was full of joy, community, family.. and it really goes to show what weddings are really about - people and love. It was also so, so heartwarming and incredible to see so many of those close to them pulling this day together in around a week.
