I've known Jen for years from wedding supplier circles - she and her family run Butterflies Florists in Middlesbrough. When she enquired about hers and Neil's The Morritt at Greta Bridge wedding I was so excited - I knew it would be amazing, fun and full of beautiful blooms and it definitely didn't disappoint.. It was so much fun to put their Morris Hotel wedding video and photography together for them. Elvis himself even showed up later on too.. These two get married in two days! I'm so excited for their Preston Park wedding. Christina and Kevin actually live in beautiful Canada so we only got a chance to meet properly and get a few pre-wedding photos last week. We actually popped down into Yarm for them which is two minutes from my house. It was lovely to do a shoot in the little town where I live and these two were just beautiful together. Here are a few favourites from our little rainy walk around Yarm - and send good weather vibes for later this week for their wedding at Preston Park Museum!
It's been so, so long since I shared any personal work! It always takes a bit of a back seat when I have 'real' work going on but it's always such a joy to shoot just for myself too. These photos are actually a year or so old - I was asked by my good friend Hannah to shoot with her on the Amalfi Coast (um... YES PLEASE) and we decided to take an extra day or two to explore while we were there. I was actually 6 weeks pregnant when we went so this time couldn't drink *all* the wine but I did eat *all* the food to make up for it..
Tiff and Voyt actually had a few celebrations of their marriage since they said their vows as they have family and friends worldwide! I was lucky enough to be asked to be there when they celebrated at Arley Hall and Gardens near Manchester earlier this year - they had a lunch with family and friends before exploring the beautiful grounds, then ended their celebration with an afternoon tea of wedding cake. It was a relaxed and beautiful celebration and these two were real sweethearts to be with all day. Her is their stop motion wedding video..
A Whinstone View wedding is always *even* more special when there are three of you celebrating - is becomes a full family celebration when there is a little one watching parents tie the knot too. Sophie and Chris married with little Nolah as a flower girl - a beautiful Whinstone View wedding near Great Ayton, North Yorkshire. I love a North Yorkshire/Teesside barn wedding! The sun shone, vows were said, tears were shed, drinks were had, games were played and shapes were thrown. Oh I really LOVE to be back shooting at Oh Me Oh My wedding in Liverpool. Lizi and Tony married in Crosby (you'll see some of their photos were at Another Place on the beach there) before heading to hold the reception to their wedding at Oh Me Oh My in Liverpool city centre to celebrate. I really love a Liverpool city centre wedding, and love that they wanted to take some time for pictures at John Lennon's old drinking hole too.. Right up my street! Oh this is the sort of factory/warehouse wedding I just *love* to shoot. Sarah and Jamie married at Guildhall then went on to celebrate at an amazing ex-warehouse venue.. they had their wedding at FRüIT in the newly pimped out Humber Street in Hull. It was one of the most relaxed and unfussy factory weddings I've ever been to and was *all* aout the people, the beer and the music. I've been meaning to blog Louise, Kurt and Norah's family shoot for so long! Louise and Kurt's wedding was back in 2012, when I was just starting out in wedding photography - they had a beautiful London wedding at the Cheyenne Walk Brasserie in Chelsea (you can see it here!). They then moved to Australia and had their little girl Norah - when they got in touch for a family shoot because they were back in the UK I was so excited to see them again! We went for a little walk in the town where they were staying with family in Derbyshire and got some photographs of the three of them. Sian and Steve had their wedding on Bournemouth Beach one hot July day.. and what an amazing day it was. Think Pimms on the sand, paddles in the sea, non-stop laughter and spectacular coastline views…
Who else out there just *loves* Autumn? Claire and Warren certainly do.. and planned a fabulous October wedding at Old Luxters Barn, full to the brim with Halloween and Autumnal details. Oh, this day was bea-u-tiful. Kerrie and Russell married in the woodlands and then celebrated in a marquee for their wedding at Dedham Vale Vineyard in Essex. There was an elegant, botanical theme to the day, their bow tie-wearing dog Tagg was ring bearer, Kerrie wore the most AMAZING flapper-style-skirted dress and paper cranes in her hair and they had the best Indie band on the evening that had everyone up and dancing the night away. I really love shooting in the Lake District - I always come away from the Lakes feeling 'I *have* to go back soon. It's such a beautiful place that just feels so soothing. I was excited to be back for Ella and Rob's wedding at quirky and colourful venue The Swan Hotel and Spa. These two said their vows in front of family and friends and their two beautiful little ones, Sissy and Barney - it was a day to celebrate these two and it was a relaxing day with everyone hanging out on the river bank before dancing the night away. I was over the moon to find myself back in beautiful Cambridgeshire for Rhonda and James' wedding at The Poet's House in Ely. Last time I was down this way was for Rhonda's sister's wedding and it was lovely to see this lovely family again and see little ones bigger than before and some new little additions to their clan! Rhonda and James looked amazing (check our Rhonda's amazing outfit and *those* Irregular Choice boots..) and their wedding was a modern and elegant mix of greys and copper details. It rained a little and then the sun really shone and we were so please to be able to explore Ely a little for some couple portraits too. Ruth and Matt tied the knot in beautiful Yorkshire - a beautiful Yorebridge House Hotel wedding - one beautiful Spring day in May. Tiffany and Wojciech invited me along for their wedding at Arley Hall, Cheshire. These two lovebirds actually tied the knot last year but waited to throw a celebration party for their wedding at Arley Hall and Gardens when their nearest and dearest friends and family could travel from their respective corners of the world and attend too. Their Arley Hall wedding day was really relaxed, starting with a meal, ending with tea and wedding cake; and during the day the sun shone and guests enjoyed the beautiful gardens of Arley Hall. A beautiful Springtime Liverpool city centre wedding. It was SO wonderful to spend the day with Lizi and Tony and then celebrate with them at their wedding at Oh Me Oh My (check out THAT view of the Liver Building from the roof top...!!). Wedding season starting properly isn't so difficult when you find yourself travelling to sunny Majorca..! Carina and Kris married where they love to holiday, a beautiful Cala D'Or wedding. Quiet sandy beaches, turquoise seas, sunshine.. it was an amazing setting for their wedding at the Yacht Club in Cala D'Or.. Carina looked sensational in her backless Ronald Joyce gown, and Kris arrived Bond-style to the ceremony on a private yacht (as you do..!), I'm working through their full set of pictures and their Cal D'Or wedding stop motion video today and can't wait to see the story of this day come together.. but, for now, here are their preview photographs.
