This year has seen:
A first dance to a brass band in the car park when receptions weren’t allowed // elbow bumps and kisses blown // a wedding planned in three days to get in before November Lockdown 2.0 // face masks for guests hastily made to match outfits // a wedding allowed to have 30 guests with only a day to spare // champagne toasts from a car boot in a lay-by following a ceremony in Tier 3 // sanitiser table favours // would-have-been wedding guests waiting outside ceremonies to show their love from a distance // Zoom and Facebook broadcasts from church..
It’s been love and magic against all odds.
Read MoreWith the start of a new decade I thought it could be fun to dig back through old archives and do a ten year post! Strictly speaking, I shot my first wedding in 2011 not 2010, but I registered my business at the end of 2010 so I guess it sort of counts?
Read MoreI say it every time I’m there.. but I do love shooting in Liverpool. What a city.
It was just the perfect day - completely relaxed, fun, full of side glances, kisses and squeezes with each other, so much laughter, and a big knees up at the end. It was an absolute dream to shoot.
Here are their preview photos from Kate and David’s wedding at Oh Me Oh My in Liverpool..

We chose Sally because of her natural, documentary style photography – the thought of hours of posed photographs really didn’t appeal to us and Sally was so exactly what we were looking for.
Read More2017 was another busy, exciting and special year for so many reasons.. My work has taken me all over the UK and abroad, I've met and worked with truly wonderful couples, laughed and cried through speeches and unscripted moments, tried to push myself creatively more than ever, charged and packed my kit, shot, then charged and packed again (ad infinitum), and really tried to push and bring myself and my own approach to my work more than ever before..
Read MoreOh I really LOVE to be back shooting at Oh Me Oh My wedding in Liverpool. Lizi and Tony married in Crosby (you'll see some of their photos were at Another Place on the beach there) before heading to hold the reception to their wedding at Oh Me Oh My in Liverpool city centre to celebrate. I really love a Liverpool city centre wedding, and love that they wanted to take some time for pictures at John Lennon's old drinking hole too.. Right up my street! Here is their stop motion wedding video from their Oh Me Oh My wedding in Liverpool!
Read MoreA beautiful Springtime Liverpool city centre wedding. It was SO wonderful to spend the day with Lizi and Tony and then celebrate with them at their wedding at Oh Me Oh My (check out THAT view of the Liver Building from the roof top...!!). I especially adore Lizi's 70s dress and their travel-themed day.. Here is a little preview of what they got up to at their Oh Me Oh My Liverpool wedding..
Read MoreI love a Liverpool city centre wedding. It was amazing to be back in Liverpool (I lived there for a few years as a student) and I have a real soft spot for this amazing place. Sara and Joey married at the town hall before having an Oh Me Oh My wedding reception. There were so many fabulously hand-crafted details, and the setting for their day was amazing. Where else can you get a roof top garden overlooking the Liver building for your wedding? I was so excited to shoot an Oh Me Oh My wedding and it didn't disappoint.. Here is their stop motion wedding video, pictures to follow soon..
Read MoreIt's always so hard to know what to write at this point in the year.. it feels like only a few weeks since I sat down to write 2015's end-of-year post.
Read MoreAhh Liverpool. I lived in Liverpool for a few years while at uni and it was so amazing to be back. Sara and Joey had a Liverpool city centre wedding - they married at the town hall before heading having an Oh Me Oh My wedding reception (a venue I've been dying to shoot in for so long..) accompanied by their daughter Mollie and family and friends. When I arrived there were blue, blue skies and only a few stray clouds, but after a few hours it seemed like every time we went to step out of the door for some pictures we would feel rain drops.. eventually we decided not to let it get the better of us and we headed out with a rainbow umbrella for some pictures in the city streets nearby - and it was totally worth it. What do you do if it rains on your wedding day..? Don't worry about it! There were some really beautiful touches at their Oh Me Oh My wedding, and I'm really looking forward to shooting there again next year. Anyway, here are some preview pictures from a sunny and rainy Liverpool city centre wedding in which we brought our own rainbows..
