So! 2018 has flown by at a startling rate and it’s time to ‘round up’ ahead of diving into 2019.. I’ve shot enough weddings now to know what I love about them and which moments really make me tick. I know my ‘why’ for getting into this industry in the first place, I know why I love wedding photography the most, and I know the type of shots and the moments that really make my heart sing and make me excited about each and every wedding..
Read MoreI'm excited to announce that I'll be exhibiting at Preston Park 'Party in the Park' wedding fair next week!
It's been a few months since I was displaying my work and chatting at a wedding fair, and this fair is *right' up my street.. think glasses of fizz on the lawn, a tipi, goodie bags, live music, a gin bar.. I hope to see you there!
Never have I ever come away from a wedding craving a glass of fizz quite so much.. Alex and Dave had a champagne-inspired wedding at the beautiful Whinstone View near Great Ayton in North Yorkshire. I've loved shooting at Whinstone View so much in the past because every couple can really put their stamp on this beautiful barn venue and it has a totally different feel every time.. Alex and Dave celebrated in style and their wedding was wonderful to be part of. Here are a few favourites from Saturday..

Read MoreThis post is inspired by an enquiry I recently had, in which a couple had copied and pasted a long set of questions for me to answer (around 30 of them), some of which were out-dated ("Do we get the film negatives?") and a few where the answers could easily be found on my site and within my information and pricing pages ("What is your style?" / "What is in your packages?")

Read MoreSomething I chat to my couples a lot between them booking and their wedding is their timings. I routinely send out timings forms (as most photographers do) ahead of the wedding to check and confirm locations, ceremony time, meal time, when the speeches will be.. you get the idea. The weddings I cover each year are really varied in that a lot of my couples are having weddings at venues with co-ordinators, and a lot are organising a lot of their own timings and their days have a more 'DIY' approach. Some of the weddings I cover are structured, and some aren't. Every wedding is different.
Hopefully this blog post will help cover any questions and give some advice that I've picked up along the way over my years shooting weddings.
