2019 wedding season has officially begun! After a few months off from shooting it felt so good to get back into the swing of weddings, and the season started with a bang with the beautiful and relaxed celebration of Caroline and Steven for their Cleveland Tontine wedding.

Read MoreBeing based in North Yorkshire I have to say that I can definitely feel a bit biased towards Yorkshire hills and landscape.. maybe slightly snobby sometimes (!), but it’s maybe more just knowing how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of the world. My bias and snobbery quickly evaporated as I got into Derbyshire and the beautiful villages there on the way to Stancliffe Hall for Jess and Tom’s wedding - rolling hills, charming streets and beautiful scenery. What I love most when working is how every day is different, and I love capturing a variety of venues over the months too - from barns to grand houses and halls, outdoor weddings to village halls.. Read More…so much so, that I think this was my fifth visit to this beautiful city. This trip was my first where I arrived by Eurostar, though, which felt pretty exciting! As I’ve visited and seen most of the sights to ‘tick off the list’, it was wonderful to mainly wander, eat, drink and photograph this city. I went with my husband for my 30th birthday, and the only thing I especially wanted to do was to watch the sunset from the Eiffel tower.. and it was magical.

These three were a pleasure to spend an hour or so with - such a calm and peaceful house, and at the point where, a few weeks in, they’d really hit their stride and was bossing being new parents.

I’ve really come to love family shoots over the past few years, and I’m lucky enough to sometimes shoot the same families again and again which feels all kinds of wonderful. Sometimes it happens where I’ve shot a couples’ wedding and they go on to start a family, and I can be there to document the next chapter too!
Read MoreOh, Annie and Steven’s wedding was an Autumnal dream. It was wonderful to do a wedding at Woodlands Hotel in Leeds and it was the perfect setting for their November wedding. We made the most of those beautiful colours while the light lasted before these two rejoined their guests in the beautiful marquee and celebrated into the night. Having little ones there makes a day all the more special and made for some pretty wonderful photo opportunities!

Read MoreFull disclosure.. I’ve known Lou since Year 7 when we were in the same form group and we’ve been close friends ever since. It’s a wonderfully bizarre thing to go through so much ‘growing up’ together, through early teenage years, the messy ‘going out out’ years, uni, beyond.. it’s been so special to watch her get married, have her first baby Massimo, and then bring his little brother, Elio, into the world too. The magic of everyday life. That’s what it’s all about.
