You have done such a great job (we knew you would) and captured the day perfectly. The attention to detail and thought that went into the photos is amazing. Also, being a couple that don't much like having their photo taken, we barely noticed you there on the day and you were great at putting us at ease and keeping it informal with the couple shots which have also surpassed our expectations!

These two were joined by their wonderful girl Evangeline, who was a real whirlwind of fun all day and the fact that this day was about the three of them as a family really added something extra-special to the day.

These two were a pleasure to hang out with all day for their relaxed Engine Shed wedding in Wetherby - it was all right up my street! I hadn’t shot at the Engine Shed before - it’s a fab old industrial venue in Wetherby and I loved the look of the place. Ashley and Richard told me it just felt very ‘them’ more than some of the ‘grander’ wedding venues out there, and they’d had styled it up beautiful (I especially loved the neon!) and we managed to grab a few shots in the February sunshine as well before heading in for food and speeches.

I met up with them bright an early one crisp Wintery Sunday on Redcar seafront to capture these two together. I have such a soft spot for a seaside town with the beach, arcades, ice cream shops.. Redcar had some fab opportunities for photos and it was a pleasure spending an hour or so searching them out with Rob and Rebecca.

Read MoreAmongst wedding chaos I really love to squeeze in photographing families too. It’s a totally different type of shoot. I love when I get to hang out with a family and really capture them as they are. No studio stuff, no gimmicks.. families at home or out and about just being their true selves. I love seeing characters come through, meeting families at special points in their lives and also for capturing the everyday.. I love being there to capture play fights, tickles,, cuddles on the bed.. capturing kids being wild, playing with a favourite toy, pulling funny faces, quiet moments and moments of chaos. It’s all magical for a million different reasons. These times are so fleeting and every stage is worth capturing.

Read MoreOne of my favourite parts of work is creating stop motion films.. they take an absolute age to put together, they involve processing thousands of photos, hours agonising over music choices, fiddling and adjusting and tweaking over and over again.. but when they finally come together it feels like magic - the photographs become alive; it’s a completely different way of reliving the day.
